Learn When to Rest, Not Quit.

⁣Pause, seriously. Write it down. Yell it out. Adapt + live by these words if you are the queen/king/leader of “fuck it nation.”⁣

No, no, no more. Not this year. We are better than this. We have grace. We set practical goals. We plan. We prepare. We make room for being human. When we mess up or miss or feel burnt out, we PAUSE, we rest, we recover. We do not quit.⁣

Already “fail” on your goals/resolutions last week? Or should I say — did your goals or plans fail you? First off — pause + breath. (Especially if you’re here in the US). Now take a moment to ASSESS what went wrong other than “I’m a failure” or “I don’t have enough self-control” or “I’m a POS.”⁣

Where did you overshoot your goals? Try to do too much too soon? Did you try to do too much at once? Did your plans fail you?⁣

How can you plan better this week? How can you break those big goals down into smaller actions? What is actually IN your control. How can you prepare better, so X or Y or Z happening doesn’t “derail you.”⁣

Now let me ask you…. what habit are you working on today?⁣

Yup 🙋🏼‍♀️⁣

Just today. I want to know what you’re doing today only to move yourself forward.⁣

You can set the biggest, most badass goals in the world. And I encourage it!⁣

But anyone can dream big. Arguably everyone — people who succeed and those who don’t all have similar goals.⁣

But how will you act?⁣

What is the smallest way you can move forward today?⁣

I want to know what habit you are working on TODAY.⁣

And then tomorrow.⁣

For me? I want to snatch 165, but that goal means nothing without a plan. I know that to do that, I must go train today. I must do my snatch skill-specific lift. I have it scheduled. I will focus just on staying back — the most significant skill gap that will hold me back from this goal.⁣

That’s it.⁣

And yes, I do this for other goals too. ⁣

But I don’t call myself a failure if I miss. I ask where I went wrong. And I fix/address it.⁣

So tell me — share to your story & tag me — what is your goal.⁣

But, what habit are you working on today to get there!? ⁣
